Paper Dolls Blanket

Hi Everyone,

I know it’s not been long since I last posted, but I have another fab new pattern for you that I just can’t wait to tell you about!  This time, the pattern is a blanket pattern, with an idea which I’d had brewing around in my mind for quite some time…

This is the Paper Dolls blanket, inspired by the strings of paper dolls that we make as children (and adults!).  To make the blanket, a row of “paper dolls” are crocheted, using tapestry crochet (of course!) along each end of the blanket, which also has a cosy and attractive ribbed central section.

The blanket would make a wonderful gift for a new baby or child, and, to me, the paper dolls have a slightly Christmasy feel about them too.  Wouldn’t it be a great Christmas Eve gift instead of the traditional pyjamas?!

The finished blanket, made with Stylecraft Special Aran in Meadow, Cream and Copper, measures 88 x 105 cm. However, you can easily vary the size of your blanket and there are instructions for this in the pattern.  The pattern also includes instructions on how to crochet all your dolls in trousers or all your dolls in dresses, if you prefer.

The blanket is available in both my Etsy and Ravelry stores.

I really hope you enjoy this new pattern and I can’t wait to see your creations!

Happy crocheting!

Catherine xx
