Beatrice Cushion and Summer Vibes Blog Hop

The Beatrice Cushion is a fun circular crochet cushion which is perfect for summer days in the garden. It has a retro floral vibe and would look great in so many different colour combinations.

Plus, on 18 July 2021, for one day only, it will be available for free, as part of the Summer Vibes Blog Hop. More on this below…!

Techniques

The cushion cover starts out as a hexagon and is turned into a circle in the final rounds.

The pattern uses the tapestry crochet technique. If you’ve not tried this before, it really isn’t as hard as you might think. Check out my tutorial on YouTube for an introduction, or these other tutorials for some further tips.

Materials

The cover uses four different colour DK yarns, and I used less than a 100g ball of each.

To make my cover I used the lovely Hayfield Bonus DK yarn in Sapphire, Rainforest, Cream and Moss Green but, of course, the colour combinations are endless!

Difficulty

It would be suitable for a beginner with some experience or an intermediate crocheter looking to try tapestry crochet for the first time.
