The Molly Shawl

The Molly Shawl is a symmetrical triangular shawl. The main part has a repeating textured pattern, all in a single colour, which is very mindful to work up. This is then edged with a striking border of leaf-shaped motifs formed with tapestry crochet.

If you’re new to tapestry crochet, the pattern includes a full explanation of how to do this, as well as links to some handy video tutorials. However, if you do have any questions, please send me an email and I’ll be happy to help.

The pattern in written in US crochet terms.

Yarn

The Molly Shawl is made with Hobbii’s gorgeously soft and light Soft Alpaca yarn. This is a 100% alpaca yarn so it’s really cosy. It’s also available in a range of gorgeous colours. However, the shawl would also work really well in many other fingering weight yarns.

The yarn was gifted to me from the kind folks at Hobbii when I took part in their “Hobbii Cozy Fall” challenge in 2021.
