Winter Flora – a delightful tapestry crochet cushion pattern
The Winter Flora cushion is my latest tapestry crochet cushion design. It’s perfect for bringing a splash of botanical joy to your home this winter.
The Winter Flora Cushion uses tapestry crochet to create a beautiful floral pattern. At its centre, the cushion has a gorgeous poinsettia flower. This is surrounded by sixteen pairs of mistletoe berries and leaves. The mistletoe berries are made with pop corn stitches, which add a really fun textural touch to the cushion.
The pattern was first released at a Crochet Sanctuary workshop I led in November 2022.

The Winter Flora Cushion
The Winter Flora Cushion is a solid granny square where different stitches are made in different colours, using the tapestry crochet technique.

I used Scheepjes Catona, which is a 4 ply 100% cotton yarn to make the cushion. I love this yarn as it comes in a range of vibrant colours and gives a really smooth finish to the cushion. It also has fabulous stitch definition so is great for this kind of tapestry crochet.
The pattern includes full written instructions and explanations for how to do the techniques used in the cushion. However, if you have any questions at all, please just send me an email and I’ll be happy to help.
